So. My best friend (as you all know is withloveminusthehandles) and I ran a 5k today in Austin, Texas. I think you all pretty much know that too. What you don’t know is how much incredible fun I had and how I never thought I’d ever be doing this in a million years, but I did, and I’m so thankful for friends that will do things like this with me.
Running a 5k isn’t hard. I mean it’s 3.2something miles. But running with a bunch of people following me, crowding me, generally around me IS hard. It was a nice challenge though, and being amongst so many other runners was so inspiring and gave me the biggest adrenaline rush. We started a bit late and jumped right in. The miles flew by, and especially running in a beautiful town setting like Austin was amazing. Afterwards I felt unstoppable. I wanted to do more! We finished 3.38 in a little under 40 mins, which was great considering how crowded it was. We wished we had done it timed with all of the other runners..next time Molly, next time. All in all, I want to do this 10000000 more times with my favorite running partner, Lisa Loo. Time to work up to a 10k? Yep.
